Command Ibadan Alumni North America, CIANA for short is a chip of Command Secondary School Ibadan Old Student Association (COSSIOSA) which is the global Alumni body for our beloved alma mater. It is essentially an association of members of COSSIOSA that fate has brought together in this geographical region of North America which comprises 23 sovereign states. However, CIANA has only succeeded in tracking members in United states of America & Canada. We are of the hope that the launch of this website would help to project us globally, every other old student based in any Country in North America will eventually locate us or we locate them.
As a growing and evolving group, we are continually seeking ways of expanding our goals in the interest of the group, our alma mater and humanity in general. This has propelled us to the launch of this scalable website. We also have our gaze on organizing or adopting charitable events in our home country Nigeria to reach out to the poor and needy. Also, we hope to create a cooperative society to further enhance our financial capabilities.

I feel privileged to have attended Command Secondary School Ibadan and hence be a part of such purpose driven and amiable group of schoolmates. Also to serve as the Public Relations Officer of CIANA at this time with a particular goal amongst several others of delivering the website project. This we have been able to accomplish by the grace of The Almighty God, the hard work of our committee and the support of our current executives and every other member. There couldn’t have been a better timing for the delivery of this project than this landmark celebration of our 10th anniversary.

CIANA came about by the initiative of the founding member and pioneer president Lady Nana Fatima Musa who is based in Maryland and was able to track a few alumni members spread across the United States to meet remotely on a video call for the first time in February 2014, this led to the first reunion later that same year.
We eventually advanced to became a registered non-profit, non-political, charitable and voluntary organization in June 2017. We were registered for the same purpose for which corporations may be organized under the Not-for-Profit Law as a charitable corporation in the United States of America.

To strengthen teaching and learning at our alma mater. For example, we started a scholarship scheme in 2019, awarding full tuition, books, and uniforms to the best student being promoted to SS1. This initiative is ongoing and has been extended to the best students being promoted to SS2 & SS3
We continually go all out to identify and organize alumni of our alma mater in North America, promote the welfare of our members, host reunions and attend members' events. We have always been supportive in celebrating with our members, be it weddings of members or of members children, also in occasion of a loss of loved ones. We have constantly organized annual reunions in person, except for the period of covid lockdown when it was not possible to gather in person, hence we did remotely.
